This document describes the SMS messaging program operated by CollegeSeats ("we," "us," or "our"). By providing your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages from CollegeSeats, you agree to these SMS Terms & Conditions.
CollegeSeats offers an SMS messaging program to provide you with important account and transaction-related notifications. Our SMS program includes:
Order and delivery texts are optional. You choose whether to receive them through a consent checkbox with the following language:
"Text me order and delivery updates at [your phone number]. Msg & data rates may apply, msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See SMS Policy."
The mobile app shows this checkbox when you create an account, and at the phone number step when you first sign in with Apple or Google. The app version omits the "at [your phone number]" phrase.
The website shows this checkbox on the registration consent screen, with the phone number you entered included in the sentence.
By checking the box, you expressly consent to receive order and delivery texts from CollegeSeats. Checking it is optional: consent is not a condition of purchase, and you can buy and sell tickets without it. Verification codes used to sign in are transactional messages, and we send them when you request them regardless of this consent.
The number of SMS messages you receive will vary based on your account activity:
Message frequency varies with your account activity. Most users receive a few messages for each order they buy or sell, plus any verification codes they request.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier will apply to all SMS messages sent and received. CollegeSeats does not charge for SMS messages, but your carrier may charge you according to your mobile plan. Please contact your wireless carrier for details about your messaging plan.
You may opt out of order and delivery texts at any time using any of the following methods:
Simply reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from CollegeSeats. You will receive a confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request, and you will no longer receive order and delivery texts from us.
Go to Account, then Notifications, and turn off "Order and delivery updates, by text".
Email us at support@collegeseats.com with the subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and include your phone number. We will process your request within 24 hours.
We also honor opt-out requests made by any other reasonable method.
Note: Opting out of order and delivery texts does not stop transactional verification codes. We still send a code when you need one to verify your phone number or sign in.
